After a year of turmoil and doubt through the COVID-19 Pandemic, We're delighted to be able to confirm that the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum will reopen to the public as planned on the 18th May 2021.
In line with the Prime Ministers announcement on Monday (10th May) and the confirmation that the Roadmap out of Lockdown is on schedule, the museum will be fully reopening to the public on May 18th at 10 AM.
We will still be operating in line with our COVID Secure measures including an enhanced cleaning regime, wide availability of Hand Sanitiser, a one way system through our display building among others. These have all been designed to keep you, our visitors, and our volunteers as safe as possible, all while minimising the impact on your visit to ensure it is as enjoyable as possible.
In line with the Government requirement for the Test and Trace system, we will be asking all visitors over 16 years of age to provide contact information solely for the Test and Trace system, or to check in using the NHS Test and Trace App and the QR Code located at the entrance to the museum. This is a legal requirement and all information gathered for the purposes of Test and Trace will be handled in accordance with Data Protection Legislation and used solely for our Test and Trace commitments. Further information can be found here on the Government's Website.
**PLEASE NOTE** - If you, or a member of your household, are displaying symptoms of
COVID-19 or have been contacted by NHS Track and Trace advising of contact with a known COVID case, please stay at home and follow the Government's Self-Isolation advice.
