COVID-19 Update: 2021 Opening

Updated: Oct 30, 2021

After reviewing the Governments plans and proposals for the releasing of National Lockdown measures, we can announce that we are planning to re-open the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum to the public on the 18th May 2021*.

We will still be operating in line with our COVID-Secure measures including an enhanced cleaning regime, availability of Hand Sanitiser, One-Way Systems in our buildings and the suspension of some of our interactive displays.

While the museum has been closed, We have taken the opportunity to enhance some of our exhibits and make some site improvements and we are excited for you to see the changes that we have made. While some are more obvious than others, Each one is designed to make every visit to our museum even more enjoyable for all!

For more information on visiting the museum and our measures to keep your visit both safe and enjoyable, see our website www.southyorkshireaircraftmuseum.org.uk

*As has been made clear by the Prime Minister, the lifting of restrictions is dependant on a number of factors and the dates for each of the stages of releasing the lockdown restrictions may change. If the date for "Step 3" (currently the 17th May) is delayed, we will NOT be open from 18th May, and further updates will be communicated on our website and Social Media pages.
